Who is Madison McKoy?
Madison McKoy is an Australian actor, singer, songwriter, producer and ESL teacher. He has most recently appeared on stage as the flamboyant Willie in the Australian Premiere of the Off-Broadway sensation The View Upstairs and the lovable fugitive slave Jim in Big River. Other theatre credits include Miss Saigon, Sweet Charity, and What the World Needs Now. He also played the Apollo MC in the Australian tour of Buddy: The Musical and Toad in the Australian Shakespeare Company’s production of The Wind in the Willows. Madison’s feature film credits include The Mystery of Natalie Wood directed by Peter Bogdanovich, South Pacific with Glenn Close, 2:22 and Radioland Murders written by George Lucas. Madison has also presented his self-produced cabaret Yank Down Under and most recently #Soul Cabaret: 5 Musical Theatre Performers on a Soul Trip. In between acting gigs, Madison teaches English to speakers of other languages at the University of New South Wales, directs his community based singing group The 8-Week Choir and also performs original music from his albums 10th Child and Deep Within. Madison will be on tour in 2019 in the cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the role of Mr. Beauregard.
