Shortly upon arrival, Madison auditioned and was cast in the Australian Premiere of "Miss Saigon". That's no small feat for a newcomer to a new country. After that, Madison was cast in other stage musicals like "Sweet Charity", and "What The World Needs Now" and made singing appearances on Australian television shows like "Midday Show with Kerri-Anne", "In Melbourne Tonight", "Denise", etc. and also landed a few movie roles. In 2002, he played "Johnson" in the remake of "South Pacific" starring Glenn Close and Harry Connick Jr. Madison also played the "interviewer" in the U.S. tele-movie "Looking for Natalie Wood" starring Michael Wheatherly and Justine Waddell. On the cabaret front, Madison has performed "Been there..." at La Bar and has hosted and performed shows on yearly harbour cruises. He's currently working on his brand new cabaret, "Yank Down Under", which will start performances at the Darlinghurst venue, "Slide Lounge" in July. Recently, Madison was requested to perform his song "My T.V. Screen" at the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta to help launch director, Lee Lewis' Currency House Paper on Multi-Racial casting in Australian Theatre.
In addition to stage shows and film, Madison also delves into the live music scene and recording. He's performed at the world famous "Basement", "Metro Theatre", and "The Golden Sheaf" to name a few. He released his debut EP in 1999, Deep Within and his second CD in 2005, 10th Child. Madison puts on cabaret-style entertainment showcasing his original music and a few select cover tunes. He also performs with a covers band called "Funkylicious". The five gentlemen of the band perform at private parties and corporate functions.
Any of Madison's shows will leave you feeling all sorts of emotions, as he puts so much into his performances. If you want to go on a journey, tap your feet, or just have a plain old good time, you should check out this guy.
