"Cross Racial Casting: Changing the Face of Australian Theatre!"
Riverside Theatre, Church Street PARRAMATTA
Australian theatre is too white, claims Lee Lewis. As such it functions as the cultural face of white domination. Our main stages have yet to mount a serious challenge to this state of affairs. Unlike the theatre in other countries, they no longer reflect the faces in the street.
Madison will be singing his song "My T.V. Screen" from his [10th Child] CD to show his support for this issue. What types of faces do you see on the street? Do you also see them on your T.V. Screen? Come out for the launch of this Currency House's Platform Papers issue. Something's got to change!!! There will be a public forum after the presentation. Entry is FREE: | Lyrics

"Yank Down Under" - Wednesday 4 July 2007
Brand new Cabaret show @ Slide Night Club
What’s a Black, over-fed, over-patriotic American to do once he migrates to Australia? Sing! That’s what! Madison marks his debut performance at Slide on the 4th of July — American Independence Day. He’s going to sing the songs and tell the tales that made him the man he is today. Madison, along with piano accompanist, takes you on a journey of song. Including tunes like “Night and Day”, “Rhythm of Life”, “Spinning Wheel”, “Summertime”, a couple of his originals, and some of ‘that there gospel music’. So sit back and enjoy and as always… when the spirit hits you feel free to get your “sway on”.
** Dinner & Show $60 / Show Only $20 **
41 Oxford Street Darlinghurst N.B. If you are interested in discussing the possibility of Madison performing
his cabaret show at your venue, please email

"Madison gets Funkylicious" - April 2007
Madison has put together a new covers band. This new venture is in addition to the stuff he already does. So, don't worry, he'll still be doing his own shows and playing original stuff but to play on the covers scene, one must play cover songs. Madison's new outfit is called "Funkylicious". They should be playing around the traps soon, but at present are still rehearsing the repertoire. Keep in mind, though, that most gigs will be private functions but we'll try to hook up some public ones where you all can attend. "Funkylicious" is Madison McKoy (vocals); Gino Craporotta (keys); Frank Peronace (bass); Frank Pomati (guitar); and Nick Cittadino (drums). Keep your eyes and ears peeled.
